Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Spring Rain
What can I say? It is the season for Spring-themed recipes! This is a very pretty, clean aroma which calls to mind those April showers gently falling, making the grass green and the flowers bloom. Mix Beanpod's Ocean Mist, Fresh Linen, and Serenity soy beads in a melter and warm - or just burn three candles side by side, one of each. Any which way you prefer, this mixture is sure to bring a light, relaxing scent to your home!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Brownie ala Mode
It's the weekend (well, not for me, but for most of America!) and a gorgeous one to boot! What better way to treat your selves with a little "Brownie a la Mode?" To make today's recipe, mix Beanpod's chocolate soy beads with vanilla and whipped cream soy beads in your melter. It's as indulgent as the classic summer dessert, but 100% calorie-free! Not a bad deal, huh?

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Spring Air
Now that Spring has finally arrived in North Conway in all its glory, I am revelling in it! The grass is greener every day, buds are forming on the trees, and - my favorite part of spring - windows are starting to open up here and there. Aaaah... fresh air inside the house! I remember you! It is with that in mind I bring you the recipe for "Spring Air." Mix Beanpod Candle's Lilac, Earthly Embrace, and Fresh Linen soy beads in a melter and warm. If you really want to get crazy, you can warm it with an Ocean Mist tealight and add a fourth fresh scent into the mix. It'll smell like the sun is shining, the lilacs are in bloom, there's a fresh load of laundry drying outside, and all is right with the world! Hooray for Spring!

Happy Earth Day!
Hope everyone out there is having a wonderful Earth Day!
Get out and enjoy the sunshine, if you have it, and if not, enjoy the fact that every drop of rain makes the new grass that much greener! Why not celebrate today by lighting a petroleum free, biodegradable, American Farmer-supporting Beanpod Candle?

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Apple Pie ala Mode
Mmmmmm... What's better than Apple Pie? Well, Apple Pie ala Mode, of course! Doesn't ice cream make everything better? It always works for me! And it's the same for candles, too! Beanpod already makes an amazing Apple Pie scented soy candle, but here's how you can make it even better, just "season" it with whipped cream and vanilla soy beads and suddenly it's not just the sweet, warm scent of a fresh baked desert, but a truly indulgent aroma.

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Cape Cod Breeze
Every year my husband and I try to take a little time off and head to the Cape. It's where we took our honeymoon and it is a very dear place for us. We usually wait until just after Labor day to avoid all the crowds, but inevitably I start thinking about getting away come the return of warm weather. So today, as my thoughts drift ocean-side, I present today's Beanpod Candle soy bead recipe: Cape Cod Breeze. Combine Ocean Mist, Fresh Linen, and Serenity soy beads in your favorite melter and dream of lazy vacation days stretched out on warm sand. Oh yeah... I'm there!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Forest Trail
Aaah... life in the White Mountains! At this time of year, I love to get out and take a leisurely walk though the woods and take in the smells of Spring. Today's recipe will comfort those of you who share my love for this fresh, piny, earthy scent. Start with Beanpod's Adirondack Mountains candle and season it with Evergreen and Bonsai Tree soy beads. The balsam fragrance of the Evergreen and the earthy, mossy scent of the Bonsai Tree blend so nicely with the sharp scent of Scotch pines in Adirondack Mountains that you get the full forest aroma.

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Citrus Punch
Did you know that citrus scents were very energizing? Well, you would if you were one of our loyal blog readers! Anyhow, I'm feeling in need of a little pick-me-up today and the usual caffeine route is just not getting it done, so - as always - I turn to candles! Today I'm making Citrus Punch, which involves Beanpod's Tangerine & Lime Cooler scents. Instead of using the traditional soy bead method for blending the scents, I'm just burning the two scents in side-by-side jars. Just as effective, and a teensy bit less effort which suits me fine on this sleepy day! Happy weekend, everybody!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Clear Harmony
"Sunny days, chasing the clouds away....." Aaaaaaah, what a gorgeous day it is today in North Conway! The sun is out, all warm and beckoning all to come out and play. It's even warm enough to go out without a coat (if you're a northerner who - after months of sub-zero temps - truly believe that 58 degrees is T-shirt weather!) It's such a joy to be in New England at Springtime. Everyone is so happy and smiling, glad we made it through the tunnel of winter and excited to welcome the warm months. In this spirit of relief and relaxation, I bring you today's recipe: Clear Harmony. Burn Beanpod's Harmony candle and season it with a few Clarity soy beads on top. It's a really mellow, relaxing smell which will make you feel the promise of sunny days.

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Ryan's Recipe
Today's recipe is inspired by our store mascot, my 22 month old daughter, Ryan! Many of you who have been in our flagship store in North Conway, NH have had the pleasure of meeting her. She's cute as a button and spends most of her time asking to be held by her Mother and sniffing the candles - often at the same time! She very carefully requests each scent - one by one - working her way around the perimeter, however, when she reaches the Fruit section (the store is arranged by scent categories) she outright demands to smell both the Lemon Citrus and Honeydew Melon candles together. It amazes me that she can be so insistent on this point. She has no use for either scent alone, but together she is in heaven! And let me tell you something, she's on to something! These two scents mixed together are so summery, clean & sweet that it makes me feel like it's suddenly the middle of July! So give it a try, Ryan is sure you won't be disappointed!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Mocha Coffee
Hi there! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I think I'm still in a food coma and may never need to eat again! There's something about holidays which - though wonderful - exhausts me to know end. There's the driving, the over-eating, the merry-making - it leaves a person in serious need of a coffee IV-drip! Therefore, here's my caffeinated recipe for today: Mocha Coffee. To make this recipe, I recommend starting with Beanpod's Vanilla Coffee candle and seasoning it with Chocolate soy beads. If you still have an unsatisfied sweet tooth, why not throw a few whipped cream beads in to? That's the fun of soy beads, you can customize any scent in whatever way you like. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some stale Peeps calling my name!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Seashore
Don't you just wish you could live at the ocean? (Well, unless you already do, I suppose!) The roaring waves, the fresh, salty air, the expansive views. It's so peaceful. Living in the mountains, I don't get to take too many trips the the ocean - or at least not as many as I'd like to. Still, I can pretend I'm there through the magic of Beanpod Candles! To get that perfect ocean scent, mix Ocean Mist & Beach Walk soy beads in your favorite melter and you are magically transported to your favorite seaside destination.

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Raspberry Tea
It's a rainy Spring day in the Mt. Washington Valley. I actually don't mind rain that much if it's not too cold out (though my basement is already holding an inch of water - that's not too much fun!). There's nothing I like better than having a day off on a rainy day and curling up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea. Well, I'm at work today, so no couch or book, but I can create the warm sensation of drinking tea by playing with the soy beads. Today, I'm combining Beanpod's Raspberry Lemonade beads with the Green Tea beads. It's a mellow, yet tangy, smell that makes me feel all cozy!

Beanpod Soy Candle Recipe of the Day: Wedding Bouquet
Why not start off the month with a recipe involving some of our featured Beanpod Fragrances of the Month? Instead of doing a traditional soy bead-based recipe today, I'm going to give you non-bead melters a way to customize your fragrances with the kind of regular soy candles you prefer to burn. It couldn't be simpler! Instead of mixing beads in a melter, just burn each scent in whatever size candle you prefer: (3) votives in assorted fragrances, or (3) 4.5 oz. jars in assorted fragrances, etc. This will give you the same scent combination as blending beads in a melter. No need to feel left out of the fun! So for today's recipe, burn a candle in each of these scents: Lilac, Rosebud & Earthly Embrace. The sweet, floral fragrances blend to create an amazing scent bouquet which will fragrance your whole room!
